Jimmy Lawless looks pretty scary ;)
2007-01-13 00:17:22
I had one as good as him but he got sacked though when he didn't pop in 8 weeks.
2007-01-13 00:26:35
Kevin Foxton, age 18
value: 116 500 €, wage: 1 500 €
very good form

hopeless stamina,
solid pace,
unsatisfactory technique,
adequate passing,
hopeless keeper
good defender
solid playmaker
very good striker

what should i do with him.....? anyone interested in buying? just a pity about his technique
2007-01-13 00:35:24
He'll certainly be worth something to someone. I find that if they're missing something like technique you can get away with playing them on the wing. If he's trained as a striker he could be great.

i sack all junios who dont pop at least every 6 weeks with my formidable junior coach.

As for the Foxton, he is worth a fortune. I would buy but probably will be beyond my budget this season...
2007-01-13 12:54:04
i'm looking for someone to trening. he could be good for me:) write me his price and skills on sk mail if You could:)
2007-01-13 18:51:32
hmmm so what do ppl think i should do with him??? national coach?
2007-01-13 19:06:13
Depends on what you're training. You're the youth team expert :)
2007-01-13 19:35:27
Here's my youths - a couple of prospects here I think:

Gareth Blanche  adequate  8    Reject

Richard Mooney   good   9   Reject

Robbie Mannion   good   14   Reject

Patrick Hogan   good   15   Reject

Corey Burne   adequate   16   Reject

Shane Breslan   weak   22   Reject

Brendon Diffley   good   25   Reject

William Hanrahan   weak   28   Reject

Lee Jackson   poor   32   Reject

A few I'm keeping just to assess their talent (incidentally, my way of keeping track is that I copy and paste my youth squad in an email to myself each week, and so I have an easily accessible history of when everyone pops. Seems to work well).

With an excellent youth coach, how often equals a good talent rating, and how often equals they should be sacked?
2007-01-13 19:40:36
I'd get rid of anything over 6 weeks.
I use Sokker Manager to keep track of my youths.
2007-01-13 19:44:31
Shane Breslan weak 22 Reject
William Hanrahan weak 28 Reject
Lee Jackson poor 32 Reject

Personally i'd get rid of these 3 unless they've a talent around 4 week. They'll cost you 82k to train and they're not likely to come out at anything above Adequate. You'd be better off having the space and letting some new youths come in.
How much are you paying for your Excellent coach?

PS
From what i've seen of our youth players so far, if they're not coming at out Very Good they'll need a lot of work.

My youth coach is costing me 7.5k per week.

Right I'll hold onto those guys for another week or two, and start firing if they hit 4 weeks without popping
2007-01-13 20:29:31
Thats a pretty good price. I'm paying 23k for an Incredible
2007-01-15 18:33:39
My current juniors are:

Ray Estel good 2
Gordon Burton adequate 4
Eddie Eviston adequate 8
Jon McMupp adequate 20
Brian Cregg adequate 22
Alan Howell good 24
Brent Counihan good 26
Dave Ullen good 26
Martin Smith average 31

I might be interested in Foxton if the price is low enough.
2007-01-15 18:40:44
Seeing as he's 18 and a Very Good striker i wouldn't bet on the price being low.
I like the 3 Good trainees you have near the end there. They could be very useful.
