He has high tech players, yours have low def (or too low def).

Tech and def pretty much determine cards. If you don't have a lot of defending throughout your squad, you will get more cards.

Looking at the draw i've got a horrible feeling i'm going to end up away to Evilbunny in the 3rd round. All it would take it Glass beating FC Irelande.

Assuming the draw system hasn't changed...

The draw system HAS changed, completely. From the news page:

Change to cup draws from next season Autor: forestman

As from next season, the system of drawing teams for the cup will be changed.

Currently, the draws are based on each teams rank in the previous season. The draw is then made with the weakest team playing the strongest team, second weakest playing the second strongest etc.

As from next season this will change. As before, the previous seasons league position will be important in determining seeding, however a random element to the draw will also be included.

In each round the teams will be allocated into two baskets according to their seeding based on their previous years league position, with the 1st basket containing the "strongest" 50% of teams, and the 2nd containing the "weakest" 50%.

Once this is done, the pairings will then be random - i.e. any team from the 1st basket could play any team from the 2nd basket. The team from 2nd basket will play at home.

Hehe i thought i'd have an easy game in the cup seeing as they're a bot team but i'm wrong. I'm up against the team that beat Best of the West 5-1, they have a good attack and an average defence. Joy! :|

Wait. looking at the post match I'm a bit annoyed, I didnt realise my raitings were nearly as high. Now I feel hard done by, It seems (by the ratings) I should have been a clear winner >:(

0-5 and to be honest it could have been 15. Thats the happiest i've been with my tactics in all the time i've been playing this game, and it came without Gilchrist, which is a big bonus.
Now i'm hoping Treanor didn't have 2 yellow cards before he just picked one up...

Can someone clear something up for me.
I had Czachomirski (Mid) taken off for Geohegan(Att) because i wanted to change from my 3-5-2 to a 3-4-3. Now instead of coming on as an attack Geohegan is registered as having playing midfield. Surely this is wrong?
The same thing happened on Saturday when Freyne was substituted and someone came on and played defence when i'd assigned them to midfield.
Is this supposed to happen?

what ever position you sent them on to, they will play. An attacker subed on in place of a mid will play in a midfield position

Well thats just bloody stupid. How are you supposed to change formation?
