Welchy was supposed to be in charge for a game against Malta this weekend but due to Malta pulling out it'll depend on me finding him suitable opposition for him.

No-one suitable has come up. Looks like i'll take this week if we play at all.

CPL has pretty good defenders. Admittedly, there are no NT caliber keepers in the league. And on two occasions Curley got his defender sent off, and scored some softies.

Still, a pretty good season (not 5.3 goals per game, but 3.2 ain't bad). Especially considering he's the third best striker on his own team. :)

Just uploaded makelloch to the NTDB there now caus i figure hes a future prospect for U21's... know tech is terrible, and im not actually planning on training it at any stage, although now i thnik about it, i cud probably bump it 2-3 levels at the start of next season caus i figure ill get 3 week pops in it...so any ideas man? just looking at the main team requirements like, and hes not far off them at the moment even, 46 rating like... could even train him as a defender at this stage, since hes got good potential in that department also although, once again lacks the tech...

Pretty good job by Welchy. Something could be said for pushing up a bit more but pretty good.
2008-11-29 13:24:59
Yeah the forwards looked a bit deeper than I meant for them to be. Good result though. Off-side trap worked a few times and it could easily have been another 2 or 3 goals for us, Matthews missed penalty and his general wastefulness.

todays match was great congratulasions for result !
2008-12-13 12:38:33
Good result today fella- your formation or selections made our defence look more capable of dealing with the back passes. It does look very hard to score now, it didn't help that our strikers passed the ball back on the few times they were clear.
2008-12-13 13:49:34
The backpasses today were utterly stupid. It needs to be fixed.
2008-12-13 14:34:15
I'm guessing the idea is that defs will need to be a lot more like mids now to be able to deal with the passing side of things. Because of that it will be hard to get defs with huge pace and defending like you get presently so it will be easier to break through defences. The fact people are still playing with the high def and low pm/passing defenders makes it look like it does atm. Shevlin would be an example of this new type of defender. While he wasn't faultless in his passing he seemed more comfortable than any of the opposing full backs in possession. On the other hand the winger broke through his tackles a few times...
