You might be in charge for the game next week if i can find a suitable team for you. I'd rather take Cambrants Iceland in Week 12.

I'm actually a bit pissed off really. The idea behind you taking charge of 4 games this season was to get someone ready for taking charge of the national team. With the engine changes, the 2 games you've played are now a bit of a waste.

Seems that way. At least if they'd been introduced at the start of the season everyone would have experience of the new ME from thier club games :/

Whatever the ME it's still good experience to go through the scouting of opponents and player selection that a NT match brings. It's also not really necessary to be setting tactics for these matches to get to know the new ME, I've learned quite a lot just by looking at some of the NT games.

Anyone training technique should pick up Buster Corscadden. Very good 21 year old defender and we do need more defenders.

I've just arranged to get him next season hopefully. The winger training I'll be doing will round him out nicely as a new engine defender if I can pick him up.

I'm going to drop Derek Sanabria. He's old and useless, despite what his skills supposedly are. As for a replacement, it'll likely be one of my wingers (Dillon or Kemp). I prefer Dillon but for some reason his value is a long way down on Kemp.

Ireland 1-0 Peru

Its a very good result. Especially considering i made that formation for an engine that was withdrawn. The result is all i can really take from the game because of those changes.
As for the game itself i wasnt too happy with the performance. We didnt have enough control of the game but thankfully the defence (who have been great for the last 3 weeks) managed to keep another clean sheet, although god knows how. According to the stats it was a more even game in the 2nd half after Colbert got sent off.
And lastly for Arturo8a, nice try on the suprise but it didnt work. I was expecting it. Keep trying though, you'll win a game eventually ;)

Righto boys and girls, it's finally happened, the U-21's are on their way. I would hope that we'll get plenty of Irish candidates for the job when the election comes around. It definitely isnt an easy job, i'd say it's more difficult than the national job which is exactly why it's a good training ground for the top job and only Irish managers should be considered.

How are our u21's (or u20s atm I guess) looking?

Well we're fine for strikers, as far as everyone else it'll be difficult to put a good squad together but i think things look slightly better than in the past.

do i get in with my striker? im guessing he shud make the panel with pace alone...i know the tech is lacking..

Its not up to me but personally i'd say no as i prefer rounded strikers and he's 8th out of the 20 year olds. My 4 would be Cormac Cully (20), Rick Dull (18), Jake Hancocks (19) and Dave Mehrtens (19). They are the top 4 according to skill points. Niall Beirne misses out purely on age, he's tied for skills with Mehrtens and Hancocks.
