Subject: Ireland Vs...

hi!

Hleb!!!

Hows it going??!

We dont have a game schedueled for next week because everytime i've arranged one they're pulled out. Instead i've sent invitations to 16 nations and first one to reply gets the game.
Normally i wouldn't mind a week off but next week is the most important week so far for the ratings. The teams above us are all close and 30 points would take us up at least 5 places.
As far as getting into the top 30 stands it's starting to look promising. There are however a few hurdles, the main ones being South Africa and Switzerland. I would have liked to avoid such tough games on the run-in but without them i think we'd not be able to get high enough.

Chile it is then and a chance to put right the last result.

For those of you not watching the international forums, someone has created Northern Ireland. If you've anything to say about it you're looking for the "Missing Countries" thread.

Cheers for that. It's a pretty awful idea having a Northern Irish league when you consider the size of the Irish league. I could understand the split if Ireland was to reach about 100-150 users but it's impractical with the current size of the league.

All set for Chile. This could be interesting...

good luck Nin.

I'll get back to ya on that Sk Mail after my league game tomorow, see if there is anything to my idea.

There has been a last minute change in tactics. I'll explain later, possibly.

Poland have done us no favours by losing to Australia. We could have beaten the team they put out today.

:( what a shame;) but we played with 6'th league squad:)

I'll have something to say about that game later.

Cliffords goal was a gem :) it beats Matthews goal from last week hands down.

Not to sound like a broken record but you need to get your inner mids more involved. If you look at the % involvement it tells the story of the game. With a formation like 451 you only need the two wingers to support the striker, the 3 inner mids should just be for breaking up the play and passing the ball forward. When DEFs perform that role the ball invariably either goes out of play or comes straight back at you.
Form certainly didn't help- you were at bare bones in that area so it highlighted problems a better midfield would have painted over. All in all I wouldn't worry too much- you can only choose from the players we provide you with and we don't have much strength in depth...

That was basically the formation i've used in previous games so you see how badly form is affecting the mids now. They couldn't win the ball at all.
I seriously do not know what Cashin was playing at, he completely ignored where i'd set him up to play and the defence looked a bit off as well, for some unknown reason.
A day to forget but the damage is minimal i think.

remember, that today was tested new engine:)

Match engine changes Autor: mr_gibbage
2007-02-03 13:29:39
During the NT games today and the next friendly NT and club games (once all of the cups are finished), we will be testing some modifications to the match engine. This is mostly due to the repetition in the current engine - many goals were as a result of long passes from the wings or running passes. The changes will be as follows:

- it will be easier to score from long distance, although harder to score a "one on one" with the goalkeeper
- passes will become more varied (before passes were either almost exact, or no where near exact - with very few passes in between the two)
- defenders and other players from team currently defending will be able to "predict" the area where the ball will drop after long passes (so not only attaker or player which the pass is addressed to will know where it is going as it has been before)

Along with these changes, it is intended that some minor bugs in the current match engine will be fixed, a full list of any fixed bugs will be available at the end of the current season..

Anything not listed above, will remain unchanged.
