Subject: Ireland Vs...

It will fill out eventually, it's only been live for a few days and some players are still going to the old site.
It'd be really useful if we had the Dream Team site back. That always provided a handful of decent players per season who slipped through the net. It's possible it'll be back soon.

This is my early notice that I won't be running for any NT position next season. I'll have too much to be doing with study and exams I'll barely be able to get on onece a day. Season after I'll be back in full capacity but someone else will have to take charge of the U21's next season. If there's anyone who's considering running just let me know and you can take charge of one of the remaining games to get a feel for the job.

with the U21's it seemed welchy would do that.. apparently not though..

at this stage id say U21 will go outside ireland.. im not sure how much time im willing to dedicate to it as this season i hafnt watched one single match

i could try and make a tactic eg for the last match but i have no clue abou database and all that . I dont really want foreign person to manage ireland:/

Well if there's an internal canditate that would be best. I mean the U-21 arre really to give the more active managers experience of the national team set up, and to see how their own youths are doing. Having a forigen manager would be a bit pointless, our 21's aren't world beaters and thats the fact. I'd much prefer to see someone who's active and enthusiastic to take the job than some 5th division manager from Poland or somewhere.

If you're planning to run madrista then I'll let you take one one the remaining matches. I'll PM you when i know who you'll be playing and when.

@Kenyard : If you have any plans at all to run then you may as well try one game in charge too, can't hurt ;)

yeah mate... might consider it :)
im online a good bit... just dont watch matches... would really prefer to have my own laptop and firesokker etc installed before i get into managing...
the youths arent really all that bad all the same to be honest and i really feel we did produce quite a few young talents this season.. plus theres a few in the pipeline from the looks of it

Don't get me wrong, they're decent. I just don't see us beating the likes of Italy or Poland at U-21 level. Giving the job to a manager in Ireland is important IMO

and our senior team is going to beat italy or poland? :P XD

or is it that you feel if we give the job to someone from there (they are most likely candidates) that they will challenge their own countries and suffer heavy defeats..?

strikers of some are 3x brilliant and stuff so you have a point :)

It's simply not possible to compete against NT with thousands of managers! ;-)

But the current U21 ranking is a whole mess, with some luck it's possible to get an easy group and therefore the chance to qualify.
But I agree, it's not a very realistic goal to qualify, I'm pretty sure Ireland doesn't belong to the best 32 teams when we just look at the players skills.

It's a shame you're not continuing as I think you've done a good job and we've been improving as the season went on. As for who does take charge, it needs to be an Irish manager and looking through the leagues I've got a couple of people in mind.

I'd love to stay on but for the two months that are in it I need to be focusing on studying :/ Season after I'll be back and active as usual.
