It was actually a very good game to watch, although I admit England did dominate.

I'm not sure how your formation was meant to work against England's usual tactics. I guess the idea was to out-number us in midfield?

Can't really remember now. I wanted to match your midfield 3 with 3 of our own but didn't want to unbalance the team by playing with 1-wing which I didn't think would work against you defence anyway. Instead I dropped the wide players back and stuck in 4 defensive mids to rotate so the idea was we could attack down whichever side we were on and hopefully steal the ball a few times. All pointless once you changed formation. I should have stuck with the 5-3-2 I'd planned all along.

2-1 up. Two red cards to defenders, lost 5-2. I couldn't see us losing that match with 11 on the pitch which makes it worse. A solid effort by the U25's. Corscadden was very impressive as was Beirne. Caffery's tackling back was awful which suprised me. A good game ruined by those sending off's
