a win is a win we won weaker team ok, we scored many goals ok but no need to celebrate it i preffer winning 1:0 against stronger opponents:)

I think that not everyone gets too do that, otherwise it would not be a record. Im just happy that my compatriot did such a high score that I´ll take his word for it (since I cannot know 100%) that Ireland had never won by such a margin.

No one is comparing wether this is better then beating Poland 1-0 (which I would think not obviously), but that should not shadow this accomplishment.

Again... no one has asked about a comparison... besides, the answer is obvious. So why need to ruin it by just down grading it to not being "good enough as"... that is just wrong... wrong attitude man.

what he means is a win is a win. getting more goals here does nothing for qualifications etc..
beating a stronger team (which blackend is doing :) ) is what counts.
scoring 24 goals still only gets 3 points ;)

This does not have to continue.. in fact... it had been over with until you posted to keep talking about it.

Nothing argues and has argued about the fact that beating a stronger team is better than beating a weaker team (it has been mentioned already in other posts man... read those as well).

I was only saying that IF there is a game that you dont get to play a strong team and you end up playing a weaker one like this last match... celebrate the victory and if its a record braking one, even more! Do not down play it by just doing an unnecessary comparison to the fact that is not as good as playing and beating a stronger team (because... pardon the repetition... we ALL know that it is better beaten a stronger team).

Regardless of what others man think... beating ANY team by 2-0 will always be better than 1-0 (and that goes for any amount of goals).

my post only was refered about a new record (24-1), the last record was 22-0.

how I said in Ireland Association forum, week 10 to week 14, are sure victories that help us to rise in NT rank.

now we are in the Top 40, I hope rise even more for finish this season 38/37 (and probably the next season attack the top 32).

this way it´s a little slow, but sure :)
