What about Jerry Deane? He's carrying an injury too, you're statement about Freyne is gonna make Jerry feel he's not wanted!

I've already mentioned Deane being out injured. We could have done with him.

I think Freyne will be on his last day of slight injury tomorrow so it won't really affect his performance. It's up to you if you want to risk losing him for longer if he picks up another injury :)

If he's carrying an injury i wont play him. I was expecting it to have disappeared by now though.

I was only messing with ya:)

Ok Lithuania.
They're better than us. In all likelihood we're probably going to get destroyed, however nothing is impossible. I've taken a good look at them and i can see big faults that we'll try and work on. If our defence can hold up and we can get 2 or 3 good performances out of the mids and forwards we may be able to shock them.
I suspect this game will be very similar to the England game, tactically we'll match or outdo them but i think their forwards are a bit too good for us. Bring it on though.

Ireland and Sweden has always had tough games, U can beat Lithuania!

2007-03-03 12:00 - Towarzyski - week 15
Sverige 2 : 2 Lietuva

destroyed:( in my opinion You should played with 2 def-mids, Your central mids were to high.

2 goals from dead ball situations, that happens, but 5 goals i felt were due to two things: Hannahan (low form ?) and also i felt you defense was way way out against an opponent as strong...

Anyway this i felt was not fair result, the first half looked very evenly matched and i thought wow, theyre gonna get a draw...anyway life goes on, you can still get a good result in the group...

I dont think that we've won only because of our great strikers... You've had only 2 shots (to be honest, I didnt see any of them), anyway, good luck Ireland [;

I dont think it was a fair result either. Hanrahan had a shocker and must have been to blame for at least 4 of the goals. I probably played a little too offensively in this game.

Oh and Hanrahan is in Divine form and is our best defender. He was a disgrace today though.

nice 2 see brunton get a game at the back - probably his best position. not a great game 2 have for him though!

Ok, Malta tomorrow, the result shouldnt be an issue, what i'm more concerned about is the goal difference. Australia put 6 past them so we're looking to beat them. Personally i want +14 from these two games as we've got some catching up to do after the hammering last week.
Even more important is Norway beating Australia home and away. If that doesn't happen i think we're screwed.

I'm extremely disappointed with that scoreline and them nicking one at the end was an insult. We should have had about 15, i counted hitting the post 6 times.

But you said you wanted 14 from two games so so far you are doing just that. One conceded was the kind of goal that happens.

Also greg said recently they adjusted the ME so that the more goals you score the more difficult it is to score another to prevent "astronomical" scorelines happening in polish cup...

Anyway the tactics was good, maybe i thought MacKeamish was too up front and he picked up a lot of balls that could have gone straight to the attackers. Overall good result, congratulations.
