Subject: Ireland Vs...

2007-01-13 19:14:47
It was a bit messy for my liking. The strikers were out of position too much and the wingers were disappointing.
I'm looking at the ratings and i'm suprised to see Gilchrist and Treanor scoring so low when i thought they both played well, Treanor in particular.

Gilchrist lost several balls up front, i think that made up for his ranking.

Treanor i also liked a lot.

Anyway ranking is just rough number based on machine thinkin, look at Cashin, he had minimum contact with ball, no shots and his ranking was around 50.

We're still 42nd in the ratings although we've brought a 60 pnt gap down to 8. I'll be very happy if we can escape Australia with a draw.

i meant the player's performance ranking (stars) after the match.

The intl. ranking is pretty straightforward and i congratulate you on doing well there. Australia is tough, but you can get a good result if you can counter their tactics...good luck.

Yeah i know what you meant, i was just stating how the rankings will look tomorrow :)
Australia will be difficult but I think i've watched all their games in the last week, so unless they come in with some new untested formation, we'll be ready. I just hope i have a stronger team to put out next week.

Buggerations! That yellow Matthews picked up has put him out of next weeks game.

hmm... australia?:) borkos is one of best tactic in poland:) i dont believe in Your win agist them, but of course - good luck:)

Good job Nin is one of the best "tactic" in Ireland then...

I think we can win "agist" anyone.

Not that good I think, though we'll see.

I've got Australia to 30, though I haven't played a lot with better teams, rather some U21 with weaker teams.

Game against Ireland is a test for the 1st team. I hope it'll be ok :)
2007-01-15 20:21:50
I think it's going to be very difficult if i dont have some of our better players back.
2007-01-15 21:34:22
Hm...would you like to play U19 game next week also? I'm looking for someone to play this kind of game, and I can't find anyone who would like to do it.

Australia doesn't have great U19 team, about 5-6 mids, same with defs, though I would like to check them in the game...would be also a good signal to their owners "yes, train him and he'll be a NT 1st team sure player in few weeks!". Can I count on You?
2007-01-15 21:42:57
I've spent the last week seeing if it was possible for us to put out a U-19 team. We're booked up now though unless someone pulls out.
If you want to make this weeks game U-19 then i'll consider it and get back to you. At the moment i'm still waiting for information back on our youth players.
2007-01-15 22:07:52
Already got Uruguay for U19, so we can play 1st team. :)
2007-01-15 22:10:04
Ok

We're screwed for the Australia game. We've lost about 60% of our first team. It's not going to be pretty.
2007-01-18 21:39:51
All set. It's either going to be a glorious victory or a massacre.
