thanks:) i hope that next week we will also have something to say:)
Line up
1 Derek Reidy
2 Ben Sullivan
3 Conor Creedon
4 Andy MacTause
5 Christian Colbert
6 Christian Coyne
7 Kevin Foxton
8 Robbie Shevlin
9 Corey Curley
10 Murray Lally
11 Richard Chawla
12 David Croly
13 Adam Christopher
14 George Elce
15 Conor Darby
16 Terry Andresen
I think our tactic is pretty risky. I hope we can stay in the opponents half, otherwise it might don't look that well ...
We're playing with two strikers, even though Curley is by far better than Chawla and Andresen.
I just don't want to play too defensive.
Our defense will stay deep though because they haven't that much pace. Hopefully Shevlin and Foxton, our two def-mids, can already stop the opponents strikers.
Important will be how our three off-mids will play. I hope they don't have to do too much defensive work, if we're often in their half they should be placed well.

2 goals, three times crossbar, offensive it was ok.
I'd have liked to play like most of the second half time, where we often stayed in Cymrus half. The deadly pass didn't come, that's a problem. It's always close, but in the end a few passing skills are missing ...
The defense had huge problems, even though they could tackle the opponents strikers mostly from the side or frontside. Gray was enormously dangerous, luckily he scored only once.
A victory, not a very spectacular one, but at least a victory against a defensively very strong opponent who played in the World Cup this season!

entertaining match this. grats for the victory.
Good win mate- I thought after the Wales goal that all our good play would count for nothing.

Gray has extremely nice pace and tech but he somewhat lacks in scoring so he likes to get through the defence to kick the ball into the crowd :P
Our 2 u23 strikers are out injured aswell so we had to play our u21 strikers which didnt help.
A deserved win for ireland though I thought. You were the better team.

Then I guess we were lucky that your two strikers couldn't play ...
But I prefer a striker who creates chances and misses them to a striker who could score but can't creat chances! ;-)
Nevertheless, I guess both teams have the same problem.
The userbase is very small and therefore injured players can't be replaced adequately.
Our best midfielder, Dean, was banned for todays match.
wilcox impressed me, Curley had no chance against him! ;-)

Nice match. I was also impressed with Gray's play down the right side. Ireland's midfield took over in the second half. Neither Ireland goal was all that pretty, but those are kind of goals you get when you own the ball.
Curley's play was uninspired. Poor form has been making the rounds of my clubhouse like a virus. Curley hasn't been spared. Think that's part of the problem.

yeah, wilcox is a nice defender and still only 23 :)
wilcox, batts and mutlow is pretty much a self picked back line for wales with just needing to decide the 4th. We also got some nice young strikers coming through, just we lack in midfield a fair bit which showed in todays game :)

just a general question. as manager of ireland can you see the stats of the players?
or do you have to message around to everyone to find out their stats?

Stats arent available. He's reliant on people helping him out.
I aint the manager of Ireland ;)
But no, as nin said NT managers cant see the players skills, you need to mail and ask.

It's a frustrating situation if you're someone who monitors every player. We're a fairly small nation but i had 300 players in our database when i handed it over. One of the reasons that i've not looked to manage anyone else is because i've not enough time in my day to take on a bigger nation on that scale.
