yep, and i have no idea what to do. only one att have v.good stamina, other players have less than avarage. so after first half we will have 5 players (gk, that att, and 3 subs).

we have only 3 atts, and 4 mids. one change will be att, one mid, and one def i think:) but its still to less. i think to play 5-3-2.

Ukraine will b afraid of poland even tho you are playin u18 so they'll play with 5 defs so there is no point of playin with 5 defs for poland

they know that we will play u-18:) i told them:)

but their coach in most games play through the center - so 4 defs would be enough... and i would like to use 4-4-2, but, we dont have so many mids... thats why i'm searching for another def-mid, as you know:)

That was one of the most frustrating first minutes I've ever seen- Matthews send off and a goal down before I had lit my cigarette...

In the end we did ok to only lose 3-0 which I guess is an improvement on last time :) Even though that improvement was mainly down to the engine not liking 1v1s...

we also 3-0:( red card and an injury in first minutes, and all was clear.

Those 1st minute (1st second?) red cards are awful. :( Very discouraging.

It was very astute to use one of the precious order slots to cover the striker. :)

If I had one more order to spare I could have got a proper striker on but they were all covering red cards in defence :) Sometimes you can't win...

haha its the home crowds influence on the referee ;)

the third goal was shocking aswell. keeper kicked the ball out and didnt even get back into position.
defensive line seemed a bit high to be able to deal with the pace of the strikers.

The defence was a bit of a calculated risk that Nin and I had talked about. In the last game we ended up very strung out with no link between defence and attack. I tried the high defensive line to try and fix that and also to reduce the the Ceska passing opportunities and catch them offside.

Whether the plan might have worked a bit better with 11 players is a moot point I guess but from the looks of things I think we could have scored a few today with no sending off.

The sending off was ridiculous and any chance we had disappeared with it. It may just be the engine but for the 1st goal is was Kukureka who should have gone back, not Docherty. The 2nd goal was Macauleys fault. For some reason he didnt keep the line everyone else did. 3rd goal the defence again doesnt keep to the position theyre supposed to. Docherty was placed to deal with the forward but Kukureka does it.
The midfield was a bit too compact to ever recieve the ball in space and seemed caught in 2 minds between attacking and sitting infront of the defence. 3-0 isnt an awful result

The formation needed the winger to do what I wanted really. I pushed the midfield up a lot more for throw ins and they would been able to create a few more chances from that and push Ceska back for a while. With only one up there it was same as last time with the ball coming straight back at us.

I think Argentina will be happy to hold Ceska to 3 goals in their return game so like you said it's not the worst result. A full complement for us today might have increased our chances of a flukey draw though ;)

0:3 is a very good result. It could have easily been 0:10 or so, Reidy was fantastic.

It's probably the first time I didn't like your tactics at all! Well, the red card and the goal in the first minute were awful and it was logical there was no chance to win the match after that ...

But the defense was playing much too high. It's not working like this against much better teams. Some NT managers tried similar tactics the last couple of seasons, they were not working.
You were lucky none of the defenders got a red card.


If you play against much better teams they'll always get some shots on goal, it doesn't matter how your tactics look like. Playing with a defense that high means the chances will most likely be 1 on 1 situation, which are much easier to score from than from wide shots.
Playing with a defense very low doesn't give 1 on 1 chances, the probability to receive a goal is smaller.
That's my opinion, and that's why I'm always playing with a low defense against a much better opponent.


Well, like I said it's the first time I didn't like your tactics at all, but finally the result was ok and after the first minute there was no chance to win the match anyway ... ;-)
