Subject: Ireland Vs...

Hmm- the database where I had put in the updates via skmail in seems to have dissappeared. They're still all in my inbox though so the info's still there. What stage are you at with a database atm?

Yeah i always empty it when the age updates happen. I've spent the last couple of days taking out the obviously useless players (about 90 out of 300) and last night i was getting some language information ready for all the player requests. At the moment i'm wondering whether to hold off on mailing everyone as i'm likely to get far more replies after the election.
When i was going through it earlier this week i was a bit concerned about our lack of decent youth players, in particular the defence but there seem to be around 20 U-20s with decent values so i'm looking forward to the updates. Not majorly happy about some foreign coaches training just one skill and wasting our youths. There's no point in being unearthly in defence if my gran could outrun you.

I've just sent you the database as it is currently
Ah i just remembered i have to go through the youth pulls from last season and add them as well.

Harsh result from a good performance. Didnt deserve to lose like that

Agreed. I thought it was a nice match from Ireland. Good concept and execution in the tactic. The right side of the formation was pretty smooth and fluid with the ball.

Despite going 1 for 8, I thought Curley played well. He made a meal of the spot kick :P, but eventually got it in. Menaced the Danish defense most of the match and had some nice chances - Danish keeper made a couple phenomenal stops.

Yeah thats the first time i've actually been impressed with him. He offers something different to the other forwards we have.

Curley was fantastic today alright. It's good to see that if Matthews is out like today we now have a viable option to play the lone striker role. If he improves this season as much as he did last season he'll be our best striker option.

I was happy with the overall performance, our midfield are starting to look like they can pass to each other without falling over which is a good thing :) I look forward to seeing how Nin gets on with them this season.

Me too. I'm planning on bringing in about 20 youth players into the squad. People need to be encouraged to train them and by making our good youths in higher demand, they're more likely to go to a better club. We're losing too many to small clubs with the money to afford them but without the money to afford decent coaches.

Thanks. I'm too pissed about the league to be pleased at the moment though. I'll start work on a database update tomorrow afternoon. For anyone who has Irish players, send them to our site please.

Yes, it´s not easy to beat those Polish guys.
2008-09-28 22:50:30
I beat him 5-0 2 months ago with the same formations.
