Raul [del] to All
Sorry for new topic, i hope that i also can open a new?;)

but... it's strange for me that the popularity of sokker is so low in Ireland. Could You anwer me what is the reason of that?

others sokker countries (also small as Ireland) growth faster:/ Ireland isn't a new country, but You still don't have more than 40 players:( it's bad from many reasons - first that on-line games are created to play with other people, not with bots in lower divisions... second, Your NT is weak from that reason... and third - for polish people the bigest advantage of sokker is forum:)

when in country is lot of users, You could not only talking about game, but also about everything else... on polish freestyle You can find topics about very interesting things... in Ireland nobody writes anything on freestyle forum:(

In my opinion You should try to make sokker more popular in ireland... with more players You will have more fun from the game!:)

We've had this topic before Raul.

But thanks for bringing it up.

Out NT is very strong for a country of or size by the way.

I don't see why we should try and make sokker more popular.

If people wanna join they'll join.

Sokker is a product and traditionally the product is advertised by the producer not the consumer.

Your point on the Freestyle forum is kinda lost on me though.

I'm not gonna start talking about some random stuff to these guys.

I'm really only here for one thing. I know i speak for myself on this.

Sokker is a game, and often people who enjoy a game talk to their friends or coworkers or online acquaintences about the game to make the game more enjoyable.

:)

The countries who expand do so by talking about it amongst people who know eachother. I know i've brought in about 20 players from another game, Hockeyarena (many were brought in by islander1, who i brought here)... And a LOT of players find their way here from people talking abotu sokker on Hattrick.

I think most of the users here have come from Hattrick, there have been a lot more who tried it out but seemed to prefer Hattrick(?) and left. What's worth remembering is that last season we were at about 22-24 users for a while so we're headed in the right direction. I think there is a critical mass of users you need, to make the game seem less like a lonely place when you join up, which hopefully we've passed by now.

Problem with the HT mindset is quite a few come here expecting just more of the same, when it isn't, give up.

There's also a bit more thinking required here :)

We've had this topic before Raul.

sorry, i didn't find any... my mistake:)

Out NT is very strong for a country of or size by the way.

Yes it is:) but it is strong becouse You are in sokker longer than other small countries, so You have some good players after long trening:) but if it will change quickly if other will growth faster than You...

I don't see why we should try and make sokker more popular.

to play with humans, not with bots? more managers = more emotions:)

If people wanna join they'll join.

No, if they don't know anything about sokker...

Sokker is a product and traditionally the product is advertised by the producer not the consumer.

Sokker is a product created by only 3 people. You think that they have enough time to advertise it, when they must still work on improve match engine, and it's possible for them to advertise sokker in all sokker countries? Greg and Damian ask on polish forum for advertising sokker by all player. The strongest nations as Italy, Spain or others are on hight, becouse users in that countries still trying to make sokker more popular im their countries.

I'm not gonna start talking about some random stuff to these guys.

as You want:) for me forum is the major thing in sokker:) i have hire lot of friends, some of them from real life, some only in virtual:) that is nice to talk about different views on life of other people:)

some of polish users wrote a short articles about sokker and publicated it on some popular sites about on-line games in poland... maybe it could help to growth also in ireland?

[q]i have hire lot of friends, some of them from real life, some only in virtual:) [/q]

You HIRE yur friends? Really??? That explains a lot ;o)

But seriously, I am happy with the numbers as they are. If they stay low for a while, hopefully I'll have got my sh!t together and then, when the numbers start flooding in, I'll be able to trample all over all the newbs and tell all my (RL) friends how I've got this really great team in sokker....
2006-12-15 14:41:54
Well I'm convinced...... I'm off to shout about sokker from the rooftops....

As for playing against people = to more emotions I don't really wnat to get into it. That's a whole issue I wanna avoid ok.
