oh right that, got ya now, i thought there was some sorta special software package yez were using for the tactics
figured it was just down to my better strikers and you only playing 1 centre back
not really sure how accurate those general ratings are at times cause i never get good ratings and it doesnt seem to really affect me

It's dangerous to rely on team ratings. All they are are averages of that skill for your team so, for example, I get huge attack ratings due to the fact I have loads of solid plus striking players playing in defense.
Individual ratings aren't much better. Strikers with low defense skills who end up attempting loads of tackles for whatever reason in a game will get lower ratings than normal. Defenders who don't have much to do for the game will get high ratings as they haven't missed many tackles as a result. Also defenders who get a lot of the ball and keep on kicking it out of play due to low passing seem to come out pretty badly in ratings.
On top of all that good players (and ratings) won't help you if you have a bad formation.
The best thing to do is have a look at your games in the match viewer. From there it's pretty easy to see how even a game is and what you need to improve.
And remember good strikers win games....

Not true - if a defender doesn't do much, they will get a lower rating than normal. If a striker doesn't do much, they will get a higher rating.
Ratings are mostly determined by the att/def percentages of the player along with their skills, with stamina as some sort of multiplier.

I disagree with the defender part :) My defenders get bigger marks when they're not involved. You notice it a lot more with 'bad' players who will get their best ratings when playing as uninvolved defenders.
Are you talking defenders who have nothing in their percentages, or very small amounts as percentages though?
I was thinking zeros and 1%, its hard to tell either way I guess when factoring in form as well. I'll have to look through some stats when I get the chance but it's true alright that a def will get higher marks with 10% def over 5% def.
Congrats to gyro on breaking my 3 season unbeaten run :) I think I jinxed myself by talking about that too many shots syndrome earlier on...
Yea thanx, wasn't expectin that at all, considering ya beat me 8-1 during the week
I knew they were getting better but i didn't expect that. The league has just become interesting again
wow i thought things were done and dusted with that goal difference. will still need to beat you away from home tho
I think it's a good bet I won't mess around with 433 again for that game :)
