Subject: Mini World Cup

Hello, next season i want to organize a tournament for teams which didn't qualify to the "big" World Cup.

I think it will be more interesting than playing boring friendlies ;)

It will be 2nd edition of that Cup. The first was played almost 4 seasons ago and the winner was Romania (link to the 1st edition)

Senior World Cup – Qualifications

The rules which will exactly say how many teams will qualify from each group to the 1/8 finals will be done when I will know how many teams want to participate in this tournament. (so after the results of new elections, because new coaches should make this decisions).
There will be four-teams-groups (some could be three-teams if we can't make all with 4 teams). So the qualifying could be for example:
- best two teams from each group and 3 best teams from 3rd positions or
- best team from each group and 7 best teams from 2nd positions.
All depend on that how many groups we will have

I must tell you that there will be no problem when you will want to play in both Mini World Cup and U-21 World Cup. I talked about this with Hellsangel (U-21WC organizer) and 4 best teams will qualify to the u-21 World Cup without playing in u-21 WC Qualifications.

we will start in WEEK 2 but this week will be on 14-07 of course not on 7-07 as i wrote it in the first post.

It's not bad, i would have quite happily avoided Greece though.

A man of your talents shouldn't have any problems getting through ;) You seemed to take care of Greece pretty easily last time- do you know if they have a new coach?

No it's the same guy as last time. I didnt enjoy the last game and the stats werent great but things should be different this time.

I think we're looking at Japan or Venezuela if we win the group. I'm quite happy with that.

I think this is roughly how the draw will work out. There are random elements regarding best placed 2nd and 3rd teams.
Sweden in the quarters could be a bitch.

I think you will not have any problem in pass the Qualify Group.
Ireland has players and a clever CT to reach the Final :)

Yeah i dont think getting past the group is in any doubt now. Anything less than 3 points against Dominica would be a huge shock.
I've been watching the other teams that could stop us and i think Sweden are the biggest threat along with Austria. I dont think Hungarys coach has settled in yet or will do in time for the final.

There's a new tournament we'll be looking to win after the Mini World Cup although this one could be a bit more difficult. I've applied to play in the Copa America as one of their invited teams.

I think we've hit the jackpot in terms of the draw for the next round. We were due to face Bosnia or Serbia in the last 16 but i'm fairly confident one of them will be taking the seeded place for best 2nd placed team. That means we'll get the 2nd best qualifier from 3rd place. Likely to be one from

Japan
Nigeria
Wales/Uruguay
Malaysia
Andorra

Worst case scenario, we get Uruguay i think.

Hmmm there is a scenario in which we draw with Israel, Greece win and we end up with Turkey. That would be a disaster.
