I think i'm going to put that down as a freak result and some bad tactics by myself. If it happens again in the first game i might be worried.

What i'm going to introduce next season (assuming i'm manager of course) is try and see what you guys think of the weeks upcoming opposition, possible tactics etc. I think i could benefit from seeing what other people think we should be doing.

Going into this game with New Zealand i'm slightly concerned. I dont think my tactics have been right since around the 2nd last game of the season and the battering i took in this weeks friendly hasnt helped. It might be because i've been so busy but i dont want to be offering excuses.
I'm looking to get back on track but this might not be the game where we do it, Seca is a very good manager and looking through their games, i actually have no idea which formation theyre going to pick but that frees us up to do what we want, so i'm testing out some things. Given my current low confidence i'd be happy just to get a performance and avoid a battering.

Nin does a great job as NT coach, Ireland improved very well under his management, and you would have deserved to go through the qualifications ... unfortunately the luck was not on your side in the Australia match ... :-(

Anyway, if I look at your results, I think it's just a matter of time to take part in the WC, Nin can manage it, and I hope, he get's the votes! ;-)

Everyone is dropping out. It seems like i'm the only one who isn't convinced this is a forgone conclusion.

I dont think we'll be entering the U-21 World Cup this season. We dont have the strength to be able to compete properly and it wouldnt be a stretch to say we'll always struggle with a youth team because we're so small. With the national team we're less restricted and have development time but when it comes to the youth team, we might get 2 or 3 quality players a year who get trained properly. We then end up having to make a 16 man squad with the 3-7 decent players who are old and trained enough.

Thanks

It wasnt unexpected. For some reason my defenders seem to be having problems at the moment.
