close game, well played
2009-02-25 22:08:29
I'll look at it in terms of the league. The changes i made to that formation clearly worked so I'll be targeting GB Rovers at the end of the season now when i was ready to settle for 3rd before this game.

nice win by liverpool :D
happy out.

is it me or are central european teams really susceptible to crosses..?
grats shane too.. goog game Nin im sure... close scoreline!

Yep for various reasons. They dont play the aerial game, they dont play a physical game and for some reason their keepers cant catch the ball.

15 shots to 8 in my favour, i'm disappointed with the result.
2009-02-26 04:20:42
strikers are massively important... its one of the main reasons why i cant compete in my league.. combined with my shoddy keeper
2009-02-26 04:24:02
A better keeper would probably have gotten me into extra-time. I cant complain about one of my strikers, Viedma is a wrecking ball and he's not even in form yet which is why i didnt play him from the start. Glad seemed to have been improving recently but against the big teams he goes missing.
2009-02-26 04:27:10
some players do that :)
damn friendlies. i had a conditiional order since last week so a sub defender i had came on as an attacker.. 90 mins of league game training gone down the drain :(
hood got 36 rating as defender with v good form and weak stamina :S.. id add 10 points to that with full stamina and better form id say.. and thats before i improve pace etc...

i realised a good while back that keeper is key.. but theyre so expensive it hurts me to even think abuot buying one :)
2009-02-26 04:31:53
If you're training pace it wont matter where he played.
There's no real benefit in buying players beyond your level. I could go out and buy a top quality keeper tomorrow but if the rest of my team isn't ready to challenge it's just a waste of money. I've tried to co-ordinate my squad to hit their peak at the same time. Unfortunately that peak wasnt quite high enough so now i've got to start rebuilding again.
2009-02-26 06:37:35
yeah but look at celtic knights... the amount of clean sheets and wins they've had just caus of that keeper... wages are annoying though
2009-02-26 07:01:06
Ah yeah but there's a big difference between Division 1 and the top league. 1 player can make a difference there.
2009-02-27 01:18:28
guess so :)
same applied to mininukin futs in our divisions though... they have 1 striker whos decent.. crowded midfield limits ball to him so they get no chances and his midfield are poor so its easy done

bump in preparation for any shock results tonight
i guess theres no point opening a new thread every season so this can do from now on
2010-11-24 22:06:18
Gah Chris Martin picks up a 18 day injury with only 2 minutes left to play.
2010-11-24 22:15:33
disgusted. the worst bit is they miss the 88 min training also
