tonight, Czech Republic organizes a special event, inspired by NSW:

Bohemia vs. Moravia (something like Ireland vs. N. Ireland)
More than 100 managers participate and you can image the rivalry is very intense.

I will be playing against a strong tactician with my first team and will comment on tactics after the match, because he follows this thread :)

i lost 1:2, good match though.

I had to play three attackers because of training, i knew his strikers are fast and my defense slow, so i kept them back but too brilliant passes in the first 10 mins. lead to 2 goals in Boca net. Other than that, the defense worked fine and i would be using this option if playing against faster strikers.

As for full backs, i pushed them up because i know zMar and he doesnt have any fast wingers with good passing.

My stikers had a hard time against very fast defense, but i kept them out on an off/side line and they got away several times, pity they didnt score more than once...but they only have very good striking at the moment...i still think it was worth a few off/sides...

i think U21 games are no use for a country with low player base.

I agree it can motivate managers to pay more attention to training of their youth, but really i would only play U21 if there is demand from Irish managers and even then only against countries with similar player base.

I will not run again.

First of all. I want to thank Raul, Nin, Shane and everyone else here in Ireland and also my supporters back home.

The main reason for quiting are my obligations outside of Sokker. It was a great time and I wish all the best to the next NT coach and offer as much suppport as I can spare.

I think the past season could be described as one of the most boring ones :)
We defeated all the weaker sides and lost to all the stronger ones. None of the games was won or lost by a significant goal margin. I am happy we beat Wales and primarilly Scotland, where I have to note we played tactics created by Raul for Belgium, where I made some modifications.
