Subject: Closing our forum to outside advertisers

I asked about it on global and got this reply

"If Ireland wants their forum to be closed for foreign users, then it can be done. But first you must do referendum in your forum. And only when most of your countrys users want it, then we will make it closed.

When you will decide to close it, then you cant ad in other forums too."

Any one any comments on this?

We'll need 13 votes to get this done.

Don't see the point really.... Why do you want it?

The transfer thread is in a mess.

If we vote on this we can keep the thread for People advertiseing Irish players.

It will be better in the long run.

can yez not just ignore that thread, what happens if a foreigner with something interesting to say comes along and they are blocked......

It's advertiseing their players we're trying to block.

If they have something to say they can say in the normal Ireland thread

Think of the future. If this game ever takes off in ireland then there will be a lot more Irish players to be advertised.

But you can advertise only in your own forum and transfers international in future if you'll make it closed...

You can also keep it open and make some rules to prevent advertisement of crap players and spamming.

Rules like:

* Only English here
* Only one "up" in a day
* Topic name must contain player age and position(to prevent topics like "superstar" or "best player in the world")
*Maybi some skill requirements

and so on...

That sounds a bit more sensible....

Discuss it and let me know...
