Do I not get a small message telling me when someone has outbidded me on a player like i do on HT?
nope - but if you click on the phone icon you can see how you are doing with regards to all your deals.
You'll nearly always be outbid on here. You'll need to be there at the close of bidding to make sure you get a player.

As Bigbak says, a lot of the bidding takes place in the last 10 minutes - it really does pay to be here at deadline.

But losing a few at first is no bad thing - allows you to get a feel for the market.
The transfer market on sokker is pretty busy - demand matches or exceeds supply generally - unlike hattrick, so it can get competitive...

It's also a bit early for the mid season lull. Prices are still high.
by that you suggest that prices are not consistent throughtout the year?

yeah basically prices rocket after the bonus payouts at the end/start of the season. they stay very high the first 4 weeks or so then slowly come down over the next couple of weeks after that

At the end of the season, and the first few weeks at the start, there's more money about in Sokker and you can get more for your players.
If you sort out your train/sell cycle you can sell at the peak and buy in the slump.

its what i've done for the last few seasosn. If you have a couple of players who can fill a gap for a few weeks then you're fine. I also find buying 17 and 18 year olds in the last week or 2 of the season will save you loads of cash
Yep, if every user on average gets a £100,000 bonus, that's an input of £5.5bn into the economy.
I agree with Bigbak, you can buy a decent 16 yr old at the end of the season for very decent money, buying a 17 yr old of the same calibre at the start of a season is insane money.
