mine is currently excellent.

would it be worth upgrading to an incredible junior coach? how much quicker will my juniors train compared to the excellent coach's capability?

thanks.

They key to this is your finances. Can you afford the jump in wages relatively easily?

I think a max talent with a formidable youth coach pops every 4 weeks. With a magical or thereabouts, it's possible to get that down to 3.15 weeks per pop. I think. Someone else may be able to confirm this.

I have a formidable coach, and the highest talent i have seen has been 4 weeks.

Prior to that, i had a very good coach, and saw some quite vast improvements with just that small jump of 2 skill levels.

It can depend on what sub-level of talent the junior is already on, but i would expect an extra pop or two over a 20 week +/- period.
thanks for this chaps - much appreciated.

If you had a superstar long term then I would say go for it, but the fact you are so new will mean that you would be making things hard for yourself economically.

It took a whole season for me to start getting to a managable level money wise, you have been here half a season now. Patience is the key. ;)

What are your current youths?

LOL you should have stated everyone answer other than me!
