delios [del] to All
Have I missed a really obvious button. I only started Sokker this weekend and read a bit (but not everything) - identified that there is a youth system of some sort and you can train a limited number of youths, but can't find where they are presented or how I set up the number I want to train.

Could somebody give me a dummies guide as to where the youths can be found

Thanks.

The second lowest link on the right, click that and then click juniors at the top of the page that it opens.

Man that is obvious - VMT.

its not that obvious but good luck, make sure you have 6 spaces open for saturday and that you have a youth coach set already

For what you can afford, your youth coach should be no more than very good, and i personally think it is better to have 4 places open per week, as money is so tight at the start of the game, and any number from 1 to 6 juniors can join per week.

i would give it a season or so before you start a junior school,as you will find the money is so tight at first.....

I'll tell you what, we're not very good mentors as we all disagree! ;o)

My personal opinion is start the junior school ASAP.

I'd second that

3rd that, get at least a very good Junior coach, always have 6 spaces, reject anything under weak/average.

4thed. You only need one decent youth to make a substantial difference to your income, it's a chance worth taking even on low funds.

excellent coach at he beginning is fine. Single/double skilled head coach + 3x adequate-solid assistants and he´ll do just fine.
Totally. In the long run, you are almost guaranteed a nice cash injection from a youth school. Luck is the determining factor on how long it takes, but it has got to be worth the punt.

I started with an excellent youth coach, the youth academy is very important imo. I amanged to get a fairly decent youth early on and he enabled me to do quite a few things when sold.

Money is tight at 1st as the above said, always try and keep some money aside for the shortfall over the 2 weekly financial cycle.

Keep only 22 players in your squad also as the wages soon mount up.

I've built my team from home-grown youths - it takes a while to "grow" them though, so the sooner the school starts the better. I went with 5 open slots each week, simply because you'll miss out on 1 junior every 6 weeks on average, which is worth a saving of £3,600 IMO when money is tight. If you're prudent though - go for 6 slots. :-)

5th. I did it when I started and it definitely paid off.

Aye, i have a good player in my set up at the moment who i think will be worth £500k in the new season. That's a massive amount for a IV side in it's 4th season, and will set me well on my way.
