read robnobs guide and stuff, been playin hattrick for 2 years now but forgetting all i know about that for this. I have a few stupid questions i need answering before i waste any more money, (spend some on looking for coaches)

1 Is a youth squad neccesery for a newbie? and should i have 6 spaces this early on?

2what do i do with the players i have that i think are usless, if i sell them will anyone buy them if there really rubbish? or should i just sack them?

3 ive employed a coach for stamina so i assume once most of my players are at a good level should i sack him and get a better coach?

Training has happened this week, so don't get anymore coaches until Saturday.

1.
It's debatable, and will be debated after this. You need a decent youth coach and 6 spaces free just in case.
In the olden days, players could be bought cheaply to train and the youth squad was a luxury.

2.
If you list the player for a £1, the may sell. If they're crap, and you know they are, sack them. Sack before Saturday or you'll pay their wages.

3.
If his wages are low enough for you to afford, and his general appraisal is at least good, hang onto him and use as an assistant.

youth squad, not neccesary, but if you get really lucky, you can sell a youth for up to 2 million at current prices. If you don't get really lucky, you can grow your youths into first team players over 3 - 5 seasons.

Some suggest only having 4 or extra spaces available if you're starting out and money is tight. A formidable youth coach should cost about 6k a week, and should be good enough for you to determine the talent of players. If a youth player takes more than 6 weeks to move from one skill to the next, get rid, they're likely to be useless. Also, if a player can't reach very good I tend to get rid.

I'd sack any really useless players, but there's no harm in throwing them on the market first. I tend to list for 10k. IF someone will bid 1 k they will generally pay 10 k, and it's worth the 400 pound fee.

The other way to run your youth school is to work out how much you can afford to spend on it. Then stick to this level and get rid of the worst prospects each week to leave 3-6 spaces open. You can review the level of spending as and when you feel the need.
