Subject: changing positions

What i'd like to do is swap two players positions during a match, at half time i want to swap my winger(6) to AMC(8) to see who is more effective in which position, is this possible, and if so, how?

just do it as a substitution order, easy! ;-)

45 min: sub player 9 for player 6 and
45 min: sub player 6 for player 9?

not unless you want them to swap back again immediately! You only need the one order...

Ok that makes sense, i just presumed the other one would leave the field if he wasn't told where to go!

no, they just swap. the problem is working out what they did when in their stats. It might be better to give them a whole game at each position to compare properly...
