When I've been looking at transfer listed player's match ratings, I've noticed a number of managers place the entire team around their goal line for friendlies.

What's the benefit of this?

Bit of fun sometimes. Some managers will agree beforehand to both have really weird tactics. Apart from a small ranking effect, there's no harm!
