Subject: friendly tactics?

When I've been looking at transfer listed player's match ratings, I've noticed a number of managers place the entire team around their goal line for friendlies.

What's the benefit of this?

Bit of fun sometimes. Some managers will agree beforehand to both have really weird tactics. Apart from a small ranking effect, there's no harm!

Can you point me to that match. I'd think the offside rule would have stopped it from working.

not if they have defenders that sit back - or even worse, just 1 that sits back...

I remember ken doing a sweeper tactic! It could work as a surprise, but not as a constant!
