I'm not sure how to make a go of this game: each week I lose money, whether I have a home league match or not. I was allotted an unbalanced squad, and I had no choice but to buy players, especially as both my goalkeepers were injured in the first fortnight. Each time I lose a league match I lose members, and as a new team I would expect to lose most of my matches for some time to come. With three significant injuries in my first four matches It doesn't look as if I can afford to cut my squad size. Selling players is not really an option, as the values given are usually far higher than the amount you can get on the open market, for example I have a keeper who is supposed to be worth 48,000 who I bought for 5,000.
Obviously lots of people make a go of the game, but how?

And by reading all the guides you can get that are posted on here.
Obviously, you've been a bit unlucky with the injuries, but you need to forget about the value of the players because as you have stated, it doesn't reflect the market value.
As a start, do you mind posting your coaches here, as this is normally the route of losing money every fortnight?

Dude, they're not great!
On FRIDAY, definately sack Abley, he is costing you a fortune and is rubbish for what you need at this stage, (and if you're training 'keepers change your mind!).
Also sack Willison, Hagger and Sanli. They are either too poor or are costing you too much in wages for what they will do for you.
Set Karpowicz as an assistant, and see if you can buy 2 more "good" general appraisal coaches like him with similar wages. Do not spend more than £1500 in wages for these!
What are you training by the way? And do you have a junior coach and school?
You're going to need a new head coach, but i need to know what you train first...

I am training 4 Juniors right now. I think the issue - once I have a cheaper head coach- is how long it takes before i make money. leaking cash means improving the squad is a tough thing to do and, as you know, when you lose matches you lose members.
At best you have a junior school with a "good" coach...not good.
Can you list your juniors? You're either gonna wanna close this and save £2400 or see them through, but really you want a "very good" coach for your juniors.
You don't need to worry about improving your squad, with the amount of players you have i hope you are training pace (what are you training?) but you have crap coaches for a pace trainer. If you choose something else then you can whittle down your squad.
If you sort your coaches out, and also very importantly, stop playing home friendlies and look for an away one preferably in a stadium with rooved seats, you will make a profit every 2 weeks.

yep.. just send me a list of your players, your coaches, your credit cards details and a pot noodle and the mentoring will begin.
careful... the last person who stole jaize's identity and bank details found themselves mortgaged to the hilt and with balifs at the door
