Subject: Position Training

Pretty sure I know the answer to this, but no harm in checking:

I had a player set as MID in my league game (Pring), who was set to switch position with a DEF (Botterell) in the event of no player/red card. The latter was duly sent off, and Pring took up his position in defence.

As I'm training MID, am I right in thinking Pring will now have to play in the cup game (as MID) to receive full training (and I've cleverly wasted a training slot for the week)?

No, he will receive training as a MID and you didn`t waste a training slot. He just took take place in defense, but with MID orders. This is how I have understood it....If I am wrong, which I think I am not, then maybe someone will correct me.

I concur.

yes
a player doesn't alter orders because he moves across the pitch to replace someone

but If he comes off the bench he will takes the orders of the replaced player

And i presume the reason it isn't done this way is to ensure training will always happen as you plan too (and so there isn't a chance you play with 6 defenders, for example).

I guess so, too. I played two GKs in the dim and distant, as one got subbed on in an outfield position. I forget the exact circs now, though. And yes, I did lose training.

Thanks for your help (and everyone else).

Do you have that match, could be interesting as that could mean you could potentially train 4 keepers per week.

1 on the pitch, then min 1 sub your sub keeper for a defender.

2 players on the pitch with keeper tag.

Didn't Woppa say he just lost training doing that, though?
2008-03-05 14:20:41
I *assumed* that was because of him losing and outfield player he was training.

I wait to be corrected.

How would it work any other way then? 2 players on the pitch with GK tag automatically means loss of training?
2008-03-05 15:07:05
That why im waiting for what "loss of training means."
2008-03-05 16:38:41
Nah, it was a "more than one GK on the pitch" loss of training, same as 6 DEFs, 6 MIDs or 4 ATTs (or more in each case, clearly).

Ta.

Damn, there goes cunning plan #47.
