Subject: SAY NO TO 1 POUND PLAYERS

2008-03-13 00:45:35
yeah I have certainly made a profit from players that were 6-22 thousand U.S. dollars. But I am guessing your saying the one euro players specifically?

Sorry was just trying to prove that you can go to III and not relegate straight away, the massive increase in Sponsor money made my team far more stable! ;)

Since when did i say that?

Why do you have problems reading and writing?
2008-03-13 13:22:27
and you say i'm abrasive! someone prescribe this man a chill pill

the dough-boy makes intelligent contributions, even if somewhat controversial sometimes. he doesn't just bluster around and try to intimidate those who disagree.

play nice or don't play at all
2008-03-13 13:50:43
well you can both run into the sunset then can't ya
2008-03-15 11:26:05
Everything you say is incorrect. About everything. Ever.
2008-03-15 12:16:50
all i could say is £1 players are £1 players. Dont go looking for them but it would be great if you can get a decent £1 player
2008-03-15 13:26:23

Yep aand to prove that £2 players aint bad and why you should not say no. take a look at these players

Marcello Lizi, age: 16
value: 12 750 £, wage: 330 £
club: AFC Denton Sharks, country: Italia
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

unsatisfactory stamina, tragic keeper
hopeless pace, poor defender
weak technique, adequate playmaker
poor passing, hopeless striker

and

Olivier Van Moer, age: 19
value: 32 850 £, wage: 525 £
club: AFC Denton Sharks, country: België
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

unsatisfactory stamina, tragic keeper
tragic pace, good defender

Click click Heck yes.

I started last season & I get aprox £22k from sponsors & a home crowd that gives me aprox £7k.

I have 4 coaches (Inc Junior) 1 paid £5k & the other 3 at around £1k. Wages are £22k & I have 8 Junior school places full.

I lose £8k per week, so to buy any player now would be impossible.

I did buy the best trainiees I could afford at the beginning & now train pace, but several are ex £1 & £2 players to make up the numbers to 22.

I think it is a bit rich to say don't buy cheap £1 players, just cause you can afford to do better.

It is tough at the bottom financially, however I think the game is great & really enjoy the adverse challenge of surviving on a shoestring.

you've also got 4 players over 24 years old who will not really improve while training pace
2008-03-18 17:44:05
I know. But as I have no money at all (in fact 78k in debt) should I keep them, or buy some young £1 players?.

This is season 2 for me & money is tight as a ducks backside.
