Hi all,
I've read something about a general training session that happens every week. Is it possible that this improves skills that you don't train?
It's just that I'm fairly sure that some of my players' passing has improved, even though I've never trained this!

Yes, you are correct.
General training happens at the same time with with "usual" training - on Thursday then. It mostly depends on your head coach`s single skills.

When you start out you can only afford a coach with 1 high skill, but as you get richer you can get a coach with many high skills. The point of this is to improve your general training.
I've just employed this guy as my junior coach:
Clive Adshead, age: 38,
wage: 15 555 £
club: Distanthatter FC, country: England
incredible coach
Training effectiveness:
excellent of stamina, brilliant of keeper
formidable of pace, magical of defender
incredible of technique, incredible of playmaker
unearthly of passing, excellent of striker
so do you reckon i could employ him as my main or shall i just upgrade my current one:
Malcolm Tyley, age: 41,
wage: 7 440 £
club: Distanthatter FC, country: England
solid coach
Training effectiveness:
unsatisfactory of stamina, very good of keeper
unearthly of pace, good of defender
magical of technique, weak of playmaker
good of passing, hopeless of striker
I'm training pace at the moment.
Cheers

He is fine for pace training, no need to change.
Definately only use the incredible coach for passing training.
You could have done loads better with your pace coach too. £7k wage is a lot for just one unearthly (the very good 'keeper is the culprit here).

So i could get a better pace coach with more secondaries?
Definately. If you wanted to spend the same amount of wages, you could get a 2x unearthly coach and therefore keep him for longer, or get a cheaper one with better secondaries that aren't 'keeper.
