Subject: Tech Training

I've been training Pace and Stamina since I started Sokker, but I'm swapping to Technique.
I'm going to train MIDs, but do players in the ATT or DEF position receive the next most training? Or is it about the same for both?
I've read the rules on it, but I'm interested in the experiences of any longterm tech trainers.

This is a bug bear for me. the rules state that other positions train slower. Which to me suggests they do get some tech training but not as much. However anecdotal evidence suggests that they only get general training and do not benefit form the tech training. 8 games in training DEF tech I've have had only 1 player that is not a defender pop tech.
Tech trains fastest when it is set for att, second fastest for mids then slowest when set as defs. All players will receive a very small amount of what ever you are training, and they also receive general training too.
I think............

slowest when set as defs
really? oh cr*p!
It doesn't say that in the rules?!
Perhaps I would be better training my defs by playing them in mid.

Thanks for the responses guys.
I guess I won't bank on any tech training benefits other than for the guys playing with MID orders!

I disagree with all of that :-/
I've only trained technique with MID though, but I've never heard of DEF being slower or ATT quicker for it. I've also noticed no additional tech pops for non-trained positions, above what is consistent for general training.
Maybe others can clear it up for me? :-)

Has anyone ever trained tech on ATT?
Anyway, the rules give no hint of changes in speed for tech training - just that it trains whatever you pick - same as defending.

True, but the rules do suggest that the other positions receive some additional training beyond general training (sorry don't know how to put quote from rules below in italics)...
Training of defending (tackling the ball)
You can select the position that will train defending most effectively during the week, you can choose among ATT, MID and DEF. The remaining positions train slower.
Training of technique
Similar to defending, it is most intensively trained by the position selected for the current week.
But does anyone have a vague percentage for the other positions?

I used to feel that the trained skill went faster on the other players than mere general training.
I now put this down purely to the head coaches rubbish side skills - I can't see any difference anymore

I trained technique for a season on MID's and noticed more general pops in technique in other positions than usual.
I don't have him now, but he was an unearthly in technique and really low on all other skills.
I hardly got any random pops on other skills; most of my "randoms" came were technique on DEF's/ATT's.
