which is better for training? 22 players - 2 x 11(league/friendly) no subs or a mixture of 1/2 a league match,1/2 a friendly match?
Very, very small, as official (league) matches give only slightly more training than unofficial (friendlies) ones. All you're doing in essence is splitting that minimal difference over your 22 players.
It's obviously worth doing if your trainees aren't too bad and stamina is crap across the team.

Thanks for your response. I just thought it would be a bit more interesting if i jiggled them about abit, as long as the subs got 90 mins between them.
And just a reminder if you do choose to use subs in that way...that when they play in both games that they play with the same match order.
This is even true for pace training, and is to ensure you don't lose training.

Don't know where I read it but I remember this
- 95% training for an official game
- 90 % training for a friendly game.
therefore 45mins official 45mins friendly = 92.5%
and if that was the case (and my maths is shaky on this)
for a player to get 100% training you could play him for 90 mins in an official and 7.5 minutes in a friendly.
(1.5 mins per 1% in friendly)
OR
90 mins in a friendly (90%)
9.5 mins in an official (~10%)
(0.95 mins per 1%)
The figures don't matter too much though if you have a set of players you feel deserve more training, play them in official matches. at 5% difference you won't see a difference in pops until 2 seasons in.

That seems to pretty much make sense, but the percentages are obviously debatable. From the Rules though, those percentages seem to be about right.
I think those numbers were picked out of a hat and were based on the idea that playing the full 90 in both matches would give you 100%
I want to know what NT games add...
10% would seem fair but anymore seems excessive.

Yet another chance to cheer on a small group of pixels wiggling unconvincingly round a football pitch?
If they play only in an international, they will receive around 33% of the normal training.

An NT match added to a full 90 somewhere else would have a negligible benefit
