I still dont quite tactical disipline despite playign this game for several seasons.

What does it actually do?

If one person has high tactical disipline and another person aroudn him has low will the high person help the other one get into position?

Does it help for important matches such as relegation matches?

I think it means how well an individual player executes your set tactics.

So if you had 3 defenders who are tactically meant to hold a high defence line - 2 with very good TD, but the other has hopeless TD. The 1 with hopeless TD is more likely to play strikers onside by not holding the line, etc.

That's my thoughts anyway.

my strikers tend to become aware that they are offside quicker if they have higher tactical discipline.

If they have low tactical discipline they seem to stand offside for a few seconds before running back to get behind the last defender.

Don't know if this is just a coincidence, as I only noticed this a few times...

I believe the only effect it has is on how closely the players follow their positional orders in the tactic set. The lower their tactical discipline, the more out of position they may be e.g. leaving gaps in the defence. I don't think it affects the speed that they react to passes, offsides etc.

Thanks for oyur answeer they were very helpful. I suppose this explains why soem defenders keep to their lien and others somethink they are strikers and dribble up the picth to take a shot and miss abysmally.

I don't think it will affect whether they chose to dribble up the pitch - except in the marginal sense that they might be slightly higher up the pitch and therefore more likely to act like a MID.

I find wide defenders are far more likely to run off then central ones

I think it can depend on their match order and PM skill. As i remember it, MID's were changed to dribble more than DEF's a while ago, but players set as DEF order tend to kick it wherever compared to MID's dependant on PM skill.

PM has no effect except on speed of choice and in selecting which pass to make

You mean compared to match order?

I was a bit drunk last night :o|
