I have young (18 - 20yr old) players that play a game every week, but their form is not improving over an 8 week period.
What can I do to improve the form of my players?.
What can I do to improve the form of my players?.
The official answer is no-one seems to know. There are a few players who never get out of form levels 1-4 or, if you're lucky, the top 4 form levels.
I've tried playing players for 45 minutes in one game per week, that has helped, but I've only done it a couple of times, so I couldn't guarantee it helping.

Ditto.
I have a 20yo in my sqaud who plays every league game and most friendlies. He has never been on a losing or drawing team. Yet his form varies between tragic and weak.
So if you find the answer...

...then i look at my 'keeper who has played 2 games per week for 4 seasons, and he hasn't dropped below brilliant, i don't think.
It's bizarre, nearly all my players dropped in form since the last update.
14 down
4 up

It does appear to me players appear to stay within certain levels of form.
I got some players that stay near the top of their form all the time, & some staying at the bottom of the rankings.
Perhaps form is pre-set for every player?. I hope not, so someone may have the answer to get form moving in an upwards direction?.
So the next question - if just possibly form is a pre-set quality - is top form very important to a players performance?

for strikers, definitely. for everyone else it's a factor, but not quite as much of one. I think.
I don't believe that can be right either, as my veteran striker used to always have top form...but in the last season he hasn't been above adequate and is normally lower than that; currently on hopeless.

Ha, and i have contradicted you already!
It's not difficult, I often contradict myself.
But you said somewhere else that you never contradict your...oooh i seeee.
No certain answers yet.
Form must be a major part of a players performance on the pitch? - I guess.
I have some players now down to tragic form, even though they play a game every week - will they ever get better & improve to magical?.
One of my tragic form strikers scored a goal - will he jump up a few levels now?.

Nobody knows the answer...he could, he might not, and if he does, it doesn't neccessarily mean another player will.
Form certainly does make a big difference on the field though, especially if it is tragic...they run so slow.

So the answer is still open, & more debate from experienced players could help.
If form makes a big difference on the field - I would like to know how it is managed (or not).

In the main, it is managed by buying players with good form, and selling players with bad form.
