I have a Junior School, & I am very hopefull for 2 players to make me a bit of cash. However, the 13k it costs me every week I now need at least £450k from my 2 promising Junior players just to break even.
I currently keep players with a talent of 6 weeks or less, & also only the ones that can make at least excellent within their Junior School time - is that a sensible target or am I aiming too high or low?

Nope, that is fine depending on your junior coach. You may also want to add an additional criteria to that and that is keeping anybody that could potentially promote at age 16 (average and above).
Another thing i did in my early seasons is not to have too many spaces open...keeping 3 or 4 open per week can often save cash.

you don't, but you can work out the best (lowest) that they could be.
