Subject: Low Defender Ratings

I've noticed that my defenders seem to have very low ratings compared to the other players on my team - is this because they don't have as much to do as the others? (I'm a pretty good team by IV standards) - if this is the case, why does my keeper get such good ratings?

I'm confused!

Ratings are only a guideline really.

Defenders ratings, are probably the worst to look at, as they get valued on tech/pm/passing aswell, and even striker, even though they never use it, goals conceded is a better indicator of your defense.

Goalkeepers rating are high, because mainly they only get ratings based on their main skill, goalkeeping.

I think keepers get about 80% of their rating on keeper, and the rest on pace/passing.

Otherwise my divine keeper would have got 100% when he was in divine form ;)

There are sub-levels of divine though!

The minimum would be 88.5% though. I guess if a divine keeper has gotten less than 88.5% whilst at divine form, then there are other things that come into play.

But it's known that the "later" levels have a smaller net increase than earlier levels.

i.e.

tragic = 0%
hopeless = 10%
unsat = 19%
..
..
unearthly 91%
divine = 96%
divine++ = 100%

or something like that.

My defenders are also underrated and my keeper is overrated.

I always ignore those stats. I make my own mind up after watching the games! I just won against the team who were said to be 'unbeatable' in our league, and I got one of the lowest match reports I ever had!
