Is there enough money around at this time of season and enough people looking at buying players to warrent selling a big money player?

Most of the teams in top divisions will have money still, it really depends on the skills of the player. If he has very nice skills advertise him on the transfers international forum on the valuations thread. Wait until you get a valuation then advertise him as a post on his own, but dont list him until you get a confirmed solid offer from another user. Then list him at a time that suits you and wait for the cash to roll in!!

If you are likely to spend any money you get on new players, then it doesn't matter as if the prices are a little lower as you should get some bargains.
