If I want to build in the 4 corners of my stadium - do I have to do 4 seperate building projects, or can it all be done at one time saving costs?
4 separate, you will be charged 15k per section
Quite, tho i personally like how much goes in to an extension to your end,so to speak.
For income stream calculations. Are the corners counted as 'along the line' or 'behind the goal'?.
u shud place seats along the side for maximum money i did a 1000 build and now i get double money league games its something worth investing in 4 sure
I am proud of my stadium now - as I have 6600 seats along the sides.

Saves a new thread; is there any downside to having no benches, (just terraces and seats) in terms of how fans are allocated? Will the fans that like benches always go to the seats? I'm planning an upgrade and don't know whether to build over my current seats or convert my benches.
from the good 'ol rules...
The stands
There are four types of stands. Each type determines the ticket price and the number of spectators. Some of your fans may not come for matches unless you provide them with a satisfactory place to view a match - a proper stand. Supporters select the cheapest stand from the ones that suit them. However, a spectator is likely to buy a ticket for a stand with a higher cost, if their preferred seat is sold out.
The way I read this is that if your fans prefer benches they will upgrade to the seats.
However, if the fans currently using your benches really wanted terraces (so had already upgraded), then by adding more terraces they'd actually downgrade to their preferred seat type.

So, should i go for seats? ;-) I read that similarly, but if there are no benches for them to sell out, and my terraces are always full anyway, are some fans just going to turn away?
Disclaimer: Interpreting the rules is not a precise art, so I could be spouting barnacles
Well following the logic - your terraces are full and your (zero) benches are sold out - so yes quoting from the rules, a spectator is likely to upgrade to seats.

Cheers fella, the real moaners will have to stand in the corners if they don't like my lovely new seats.
Well I had 7 stands with seats and 1 with benches, the benches stand sold out every week with the others coming nowhere near sold out. IMO build all seats if you can....and I am planning a roof expansion and quickly as 5 of my 6 home league games have had rain and poor attendance! :(
I find the stadium expansion part of the game interesting, and i am intrigued at how different most people's stadia are.
I have thought about several things, why do people build in so many areas, what is the benefit? Is it because it forces the 100 standing spectators to upgrade and pay more for their seat? How long does it take to pay back the lost revenue from not building on the sides? Do most people do it for aesthetical reasons, and does it cost more to expand a stand from 20k to 30k than it does 0k to 10k?
Perhaps another reason for expanding in other areas is that allows you to roof smaller sections of your stadia at a time. I have thought of a roof myself, but i don't know if i really want to roof all my seats as it will cost a fortune.
Another reason may be that people don't want to lose revenue in a highly built stand while it's being built, and building in a standing only area means you don't have to worry about.
There is so much to think about, how big should i build one stand before i move on to seating other areas?
At the moment i am considering roofing all my seats, but i need a bigger capacity so might stick some benches in a corner?

And i've just looked at nearly all II Series' stadia and everyone has built in every section position.
Why, when you can make 75p extra per ticket building seats along the sides (rooved)? What is it i don't know?!
edit: i think i've answered my own question in here somewhere. I guess i'm losing out from the 500 fans every week that are paying £1.20 to stand instead of £3.75 for a seat!
But i make that only £1275 per game, whereas i can offset that cost by building 1700 more seats on the sides than benches in the corner?
Someone help me out here! I'm confusing myself! It's not hard, no.
edit 2: i guess i should have read the rules, costs go up proportionately if you build one large stand, but by how much? There is no way i can test this, does anyone have any data?
