Subject: Today or tomorrow?

R I P [del] to All
Hi,

I've started today and I have already a question.
If I engage a coach today, I have to pay his wage tomorrow.
So, if I engage him tomorrow I'll pay the next week.
But the skill update for older player is sunday.
Could I engage the coach tomorrow without paying uselessly his wage and without losing the skill update?
And have I to fire (today) coaches that I can see in "training"?

Thank you and sorry for my English :) I'm learning it :)

seems wise to do it that way

To employ a Head Coach is a longer term commitment.

Pick a Head Coach that you can afford for a season or 2 - not a week or 2.

I think max of £6k per week is ok for a Head Coach when you start up in Sokker - at best an overall excellent coach would be very acceptable, with a specific 'unearthly' skill in the area you want to train.

I am a newbie to Sokker, so players with a lot more experience maybe able to support you more.

Good luck & have fun

For early coaches the 'overall' rating should be ignored entirely.
Pick one with unearthly in the skill you want to train and the lowest wage available.

I fact it is generally a good thing to train stamina for a few weeks at the start to get your players to a reasonable level - and for stamina you can economise and use a brilliant or magical coach if needed - I did anyway and it did no harm

I red about stamina and I red that one good solution is to train the team for about 6 weeks.
But If I take a coach with unearthly in stamina and after 6 weeks I want to change it, do I need to fire him and engage another one? Is it not expensive to do something like this?

And what do you mean "overall rating"?

Thanks everybody!

this is what the top bit of a coaches description looks like

Jon Drudge, age: 39
wage: 25 755 £
club: Progressive Eels, country: England
magical coach -- **this is the overall rating**

It is what determines the quality of an assistant or junior coach - but the individual skills are what are important for the main coach

and yes - fire the stamina coach and replace - or keep him as an assistant if cheap as you might want to use him again later

Great! Thank you!

the training updates for all players is on Thursday - as a newbie do not worry about the older player bit as that is for over 30s that are dropping skill levels.
