Subject: Playing a defender with mid order

In order to maximise training on a good player I would like to play a defender with a mid order.

He has a kind of wingback position. Is this a good idea or will it fail on the pitch?

I use it with mine. Can hurt when they try to dribble on otherwise take too long on the ball and get caught in possession. Ideally use defenders with better technique and playmaking (and passing).

What Jim said. Technique is the skill you want to watch out for if setting defenders with MID orders.
