is one person leaving the supporters club a sign of bad times ahead? does that mean that i am not playing to full potential or something?
Have you been having bad results lately? You won on Sunday so hopefully next week you should see some come back. If you have had some bad results it takes a while for things to get better, it doesnt happen straight away.
Not necessarily bad times ahead but it is likely that you are underperforming. For example, i have drawn and lost so far this season and 16 supporters still joined. It's going to depend on your rank and opposition rank amongst other things. Staying in iv for several seasons without promoting, continuing to win most of your league games can have a negative effect on fans joining. You start to cap the amount of fans you can have.
its very hard to come first - to break into that top place. i always come second. any tips to make an average team even better?
It looks like MK Johns are likely to win your league this year from the stats, unless you can use the tactics much more effectively than them.
In the longer term the difference can easily be overcome by a good training scheme - to generate better players and money

Tactically I see that in your last match you had quite an aggressive formation
I'd recommend trying to build a formation with a solid 4 man defence in a straight line and see if it brings benefits.

thats how i usually play, its just that the talent in my team is low, although some players are average
anyone know if the capacity, or lack of, of your stadium has any bearing on the no. of supporters who join your fan club each week?
