I bidded for a coach with 4 unearthlies and unsatisfactory stamina, and got him for peanuts.
I was surprised that no one outbidded me.

So, my question is:
Is it really important for the head coach to have a decent level in stamina skill?
How does it affect my team if he doesn't?

You might find that your team has a few more drops in stamina than gains

you should be able to make it up in the off season easily

You will get more untrained stamina plops and very few random stamina pops with that coach. How you value stamina, what your stamina levels are already, and whether you plan on training it in the offseason will determine how important it is for you. You would need another coach for a couple of weeks if so. What is the wage of your new coach? You may have got him for peanuts because of his wage and/or distribution of unearthlies.

my team has an average stamina of around adequate-good.
the coach's wage is 25 350 $, has unearthlies in pace, tech, pass and pm.
got him for 4 000 $

it's an unconventional combination, but if that's what you plan to train then it's a bargain

Sounds fine for mid training doesn't it? It's a good price and wage. Personally i would want more stamina, but it's fine as long as you train it in the offseason with another coach.

true, I mis-read.

I am not an expert but in my opinion if you use asistent coach get his stamina skill high and the rest low ...that way you can swap anytime to stamina training when needed....

That isn't a bad idea actually, when you can't before top assistants and youth coach. It will cost a bit more though as one high skill always means a higher wage than 6 small spread ones. It depends if the extra every week per season is worth it, and you'd need to calculate it. When you can afford decent junior coaches you can normally swap them round.
