Got promoted in my 2nd full season, then got relegated from iii. So I've sold 4 players, getting my wages down to £16,800, sacked 2 coaches and appointed inferior ones (reduction to £19,200), and spend £3000 on youth places. The stadium got increased in size last season, but was by far the smallest in my league. Meanwhile the league iii teams have twice the sponsorship, twice (at least) the attendance figures, can afford better coaches, and therefore train up better players and recruit better youth, who they can sell and get more money, and buy better players. At the end of the season I have to try to get back into a league iii with whatever squad I've got left, where I shall meet strikers and goalkeepers rated at over 50.
The way my maths works right now is Average Income per week: 34000, Average Expenditure 42000.
Tomorrow I shall sell another player. i can shave another 3000 of the coaching staff bill, and that will knock 4000 off the Average weekly expenditure, leaving an average weekly loss of 4000.
I am winning my league iv very easily, but what good is that when i can't make ends meet, and I'll never make it in a league iii when i get there?
Where am I going wrong???

the trick when you get promoted that quickly is not to try and compete in III, expand the stadium a few thousand seasts with the sponsor bonus and just bank the extra sponsor & gates cash. no buying or selling (unless your trainees have reached 25) then when you relegate if your team is still good enough to win IV still dont buy any new players. just sit back and take in the cash again for a season. when its time to promote you have a bunch of trainees to sell, plus money in the bank, and can look at buying the players you need to compete in III.
It is not unlike real life that a team might bounce up and down a couple of times before hanging in in a higher division.

Sounds like I needed a bigger cash balance at the end of last season: but my trainees are slow to improve as it is, and spanding less money on caoches will make them apoor investment. I'm wondering whether a youth section is worth the cash
what are you training? that will make you the most money in the long run, you seem to have an oldish team and not training youngsters
Keep the youth school; it pays off in the long term if you manage it properly.
