Subject: friendlies

Sensible of course ;o) wdp has been rather clumsy in getting some poor IV teams in to his friendly league. Not only will they get a spanking every week, they'll also hardly earn any cash!

theonly IV side is almighty warriors who are 2nd only on goal dif in their league and have a 10,100 seater stadium. they will benefit from playing II & III sides all season therefore getting decent gates.

I don't want to have a go at any friendly league - as it is a free choice any Manager can make

I just know that if every active Div IV team played an away game against a good Div II/III team they would make a loads more cash

I'm just trying to support Sokker from a grass roots level - nothing more

Excuse me, there is no way that I have been clumsy there, only 1 entered and I allowed them in. I certainly have a very very poor reserves and will undoubtedly lose to them even.

I originally wanted more teams but as a lot of people were not interested I just had no other option.

PS there are no prem sides, mainly teams from III in fact so how should he get thumped?

I clearly didn't look at actually who was in the league. I thought the there was a fairly new guy in there so i apologise.

Your reserves are going to better than a IV team's reserves so that arguement doesn't really hold up.

My point is the same as NCFC's...newish users should never enter a friendly league, especially those with a poor stadium.

LOL I am not being fractious at all, I have yet to play my reserves this season, they are all cannon fooder in reality apart from the striker trainees......they really ARE THAT BAD!. ;)

I saw who it was before I entered them anyway, I always vet them and try to ensure its English teams, besides sometimes its best for new teams to enter a friendly league as they ensure they get a guaranteed friendly every week imo.

That is the only time i would suggest it; if they can't always get online to set one or something.

Your striker trainees would rip nearly all IV teams apart mate :o)

I have 5 players missing next weekend, and played 81 minutes tonight with 10........and 4 more yellows followed. I need some Kalms for my boys it would seem!

You are certainly getting a bit of bad luck at the minute. I hope mine continues, my very thin squad relies highly on getting no injuries or suspensions really!

As does mine hence the large amount of cannon fodder, unfortunately my thread bare squad keeps getting more thread bare.......hanging by a thread indeed. :/
