Truffs to All
Hello All,

I need to train tech for a bit. I have done a fair bit of pace and the person I needed to pop in striking has done so to the required level so now its tech.

How best is it to train tech? Some people seem to train 5-5-0 and some just do the 3 strikers. Why is that? what is the reasoning so that I can choose whats best to do?

It depends on the rest of your players and your goals.

I've tried switching to mid/technique with 2 of my striker trainees set to mid and 3 midfielders. Training the other 4 and another mid in a friendly. Each time doing a 4-5-1, but no real change to my 4-3-3 formation.
The downside is that the forwards tended to pass instead of shoot, but I could train 10 players.

It nearly backfired on me in one league game, but I did scrape a draw.

If you've got trainable mids, technique is always good to have, especially if they're quick - go for the 4-5-1. If they're not or you need to win a league game, stick to a 4-3-3 and train technique in attack. Or do a week of striker training instead.

As I am going to get stuffed in my next league match whatever I do I will try the 5-5-0 for a week thanks!
