Has anyone got any tips for the transfer market? i never get any of the players that i want

My advice is to sell now, but to wait a couple of weeks before buying if your team can cope

Prices are in silly season right now with all that bonus money burning holes in pockets... you'll get similar players anything up to 50% cheaper once the bonus cash has dried up.

older players (i.e. 25+) go at a fairly cheap price still, its the trainnees that go for really silly money

I suppose its all relative - I've been trying to buy a couple of half decent defenders (around 26 to 28yo) and watched the prices sale past the 1 million mark

you still pay a lot if they have any secondaries
If you get a clogger they are a little less

This is my problem, it is the secondaries I'm now after.

I think I need to get past the 'clogging' point - it would be nice for a change if the ball was cleared in to the opposition half (or better still, to one of my own players), not hideously sliced out of play 2 yards from one of my corner flags.

I would suggest you try to log in when there are not so many users online on top of trying a little bit later when the season start up money dries up.
Even now you could spot the odd good buy. I just saw a formidable defender aged 20, with average skills except for pace sold for 76000 which I assume is very reasonable good price?
