Any switches needed in positions? And, with a budget of £200.000, where should I strengthen?
Will have -£50.000 if i use all my budget. And at this point, do i really need a youth school?

Don´t spend you money on older players. Buy trainees 17-18y olds. You won´t achive anything here without decent trainees.
I would keep youth school open, but it depends how screwed your finance is.
Good luck:)

Should I buy defenders, or mids, or strikers? Havent played this in ages so...
I would suggest defenders. Because you have some of them already in your team. Current ones are not very young 20-22, but still trainable. Rod Helliwell is a nice player, could be better with defense training. I think you should buy 17-18y defenders, don`t spend all your money, you might have some financial problems in future. But spend as much as possible, and buy as good players as possible. Long term term training is important. And train 10 defenders - I would start with defense training for example.
what r u goin on about buyin trainees. hes a div 4. he isnt likely to train any good players until at least division 3. trust me m8 i started not long ago and im tearin my division up in my first full season. best thing u can do is get players (any) under the age of 32. they go for cheap and u can keep em a few seasons until u get ur finances (eg stadium, sponsors and wages) sorted out, thats the time u need to train youth, as soon as u survive a season in div 3. jus as an example i got a 33 yr old winger for 2k and hes one of my best playrs and will still be playin in jus about any div 4 side til about 35 unless i sack him.
dats fair enuff but wen sum1 listenin to R advice goes past u, maybee ull reconsider
the only "past" me they r goin is if they try to do a youth system in div 4 and end up goin "past" the max debt level
as for a suggestion it would be good to improve on an attacking midfield player. u need someone preferrably with decent playmaking and passing. striking and defending are also big bonuses. i will go through what a player needs.
defenders is speed most important with defending just behind and playmaking and passing as bonus
def mid is technque and playmaker most important with defending and pace second and passing as a bonus.
wide midfields should have playmaking, passing, pace with technique as a bonus
attacking mids are the hardest to find and should have just about everything as good as possible.
strikers are technique and pace most important with striker as a close third and defending as bonus as u can sometimes stop the ball gettin past the oppositions defence by tackling them.
keepers have in this order goalkeeping >pace>passing as pace affects speed to the ball and accross hes line while passing affects hes distribution. i hope it helps.

I should think vilpu knows what he is talking about. You don't win 5 league titles in a row, cups and have an NT pedigree by not knowing anything.
yeah i know but seeing as the guy jus asked for what to strengthen i thought i would actually answer hes question rather than jus tell him somethin completely different
Do you ever take your head out of your backside for long enough to consider that an experienced user's advice might just be useful?
Don't bother replying its a rhetorical question...

defending is good but striking much less so - don't pay an extra penny for striker on MIDS
defenders is speed most important with defending just behind and playmaking and passing as bonus
Quite right
def mid is technque and playmaker most important with defending and pace second and passing as a bonus.
utter nonsense unfortunately - I'd order them pace, defence, passing, pm, tech
wide midfields should have playmaking, passing, pace with technique as a bonus
Tech is equally important - mainly so they can receive the pass and run usefully - PM is probably the least important here
attacking mids are the hardest to find and should have just about everything as good as possible.
Striking is a waste of time and you obviously might place less emphasis on defence than for a def mid
strikers are technique and pace most important with striker as a close third and defending as bonus as u can sometimes stop the ball gettin past the oppositions defence by tackling them.
Striking can often be most important - especially if the striker will get lots of crosses. Defending is a bonus that loses it's value as the opposition get tech on their strikers - but it's good at lower levels or against lesser sides in the cup
