Subject: ground expansion

2009-08-30 22:45:14
I have 751 fans and I never expanded my ground. What sort of capacity should I aim for?

(I am in the bottom division and will probably win 10-12 games in the league season)

i would expand as much as you can afford up to 10-15k seats but i believe you can't afford that

stadium is a steady revenue that will always pay for itself, problem is won't happen overnight and it does cost a fair bit to expand

I can always sell enough trainees to afford it. I just need to know what I need before I start selling.

what _kind_ of seating do I need - and in what proportion?

Don´t sell your trainees, because they are more important than arena.

I don`t know how much money you have and what you train/how many trainees - but I would invest the money on players. Especially on great trainees. There is no hurry expanding arena. Want to be successful here, then you have to train quality players.

That`s my opinion.

I train pace, and mainly train my youthpulls, so I am ok (with selling trainees).

All I'd like to know is what the ideal stadium size is for my team, and how many seats/terraces/benches I should have.

(ignoring everything else for the moment)

apparently i have been told it should be 15 times ur fans or something. which is why mine will be just over 6k by the end of the week. so presuming this number is correct u should aim for about a 12k seater. i think it is right because i have followed this calculation myself and i usually end up with about 200 seats space each match which leaves me a week til my stadium becomes packed out and i expand another few hundered. the best way u can do it is by improving the seats (and only use seats(with roof if can afford)) along the touchline as these r the most expensive seats. i would have jus done a load of seats along the line except i cant stand aesthetically ugly stadiums ;p however if u jus want maximum income go for 2X 6000 seated stands (roof if possible) along the touchlines(the long sides not the ends). i might only be new here too but i have a mentor who helped me alot with this and i take information on quickly.

Vilpu has given some wise advise.

I hope you can learn something from my experience. I have a fan club of 844 with 'madly in love' fan mood currently and currently my stadium has 8400 seats, with 3,500 benches (on sides), 4500 terraces at goal ends, and the rest standing.
The BEST attendance I got is around 6500. and never filled my stadium of 8400.

Hope thats helpful info for you before you spend your money on unsold seats which cost every week.

never expand unless you regularly fill every seat is my advice

it takes 2 seasons to make back the cost of new seats... it is only really worth it when you can put in seats rather than benches and then only with spare cash once you are happy all your training slots are nicely filled

I'm agree - the 2nd part of my stadium advice is don't spend a penny unless you have really no way to spend the cash on your trainees

Guys I need your advice. I have got promoted to Div III, so I am wondering is it a good idea if I spend my current savings to build up some seats in my stadium? Please note I already started part construction of 2500 seats on 1500 benches but am thinking about constructing more.

Thanks in advance.

I'd say spend your new season cash on seats. Some will disagree, but you've got to expand somehow, and i traditionally did this with that money.

Thanks Jimmy. The money is coming not from savings rather from sale of players.

Can someone take a look at our stadium, and tell me am I building up correctly when I build seats along the sides?
2009-12-26 08:26:44
oh dear ....the answer is no, sorry.

Building in the corners counts as behind the goal. So you'll only get £3.75 for each of those seats (the same price as you would have for benches) not £4.25.

:(((
I did not know.. I thought that was considered sides too.. such a waste of much needed money.

Thank you for the answer steelers.
