I have never really understood these things.

If I want to replace a defender who has been sent off do I replace with a player from the bench, if so how would I swap this and for a striker to go off?

or...

Do I swap a player from within the team to the position instead?

Thanks in advance.

At the moment I have all 4 defence positions covered by a defender from the bench, and am unsure who would come off for him, or even if the change would take place.

i don't know about players coming from the bench, but if you cover the def's with a player on the pitch then they'll just shift about.

for instance i alwyas set them for red card or no player. i have a full back covering the central def's, the def mid covering the full backs, and an att mid covering the def mid. it definitely works with players already on the pitch, just don't know about ones coming off the bench...

I've only just discovered substitutions. I am truly thick. Or lazy. Probably both.

well, that's why it is called red card and elimination, you can't get one from bench :P

you can cover the position with a player already on the field, i think you know that.
if you put a def mid in position 3 (CB), order red card or no player, and you want to substitute the def mid with a normal def and put this def on position 3, then is pretty impossible :)
You should be really wrestny and know the exact minute of the red card before the match starts :P

I hope I explained well...

Ah noob the Romanian word for "Ban me".

:))

Indeed? Almost as good then!

I also think that the words coach recruitment means "I have more money than sense" in many languages. I expect thats the same in Romanian too.
