Subject: Training Question

2010-04-24 22:36:58
Have decided to sack my assistants if I get the guy I want :)

I think you are really punching above your weight with those assistants. 3x formidable should be enough for most III sides.

if dlrspare2000 wants to focus on training whilst constantly teetering on the brink of financial ruin rather than do well on the field that's up to him

although not bothering with assistants whilst sacrificing all else for training is clearly nonsense as 3 solids cost nothing much and probably bring a bigger benefit than upgrading from a brilliant to a magical coach

@ DJ - I haven't got any assistants, just 2 x magical coaches (1x HC & 1 x YC)

@ Vancian - I had 3 assistants all last season, 1 x outstanding, 1 x incredible and 1 x brilliant. Yes, financially it crippled me but I wanted to see if the random pops that were produced by these assistants really had an effect. Imo they did not aid me more than what my current HC does.

I respect both your posts as you've been playing a lot longer than I but I can only state my own findings. Div IV is difficult financially.

I guess they might have forgotten to code assistants

I always preferred 3 cheap ones in case they had remembered

I wake up this morning with a headache and no junior school. Now have sacked my coach, withdrawn from the league and am trying to buy an awesome head coach. Funnily enough, I will save 4k in wages a week.

b)

you will miss out on 1 of your main source of income - selling juniors, stupid move imo.

Oh well, they were sh*t anyway, never had the guts to get rid of them all.
Pissed me, though, couldnae give a damn, it seems.

Best price for a trainee sold by me was 250k and he was sacked the following season. Hardley get transfer income from following transfers either. JS was great if you got lucky. Now its harder to prove you are lucky so not sure you need a JS when money is tight.

So i think its a fair strategy for Lost to follow.

Oh and with mattius he thinks things are either stupid or great not much in the middle there...

Try it out and let us know the results I say.

well, in the year or so i have had the youth school, i have recieved over £2 million from juniors sold.
2010-04-25 18:10:45
Well, I'm saving 13k a week, so it allows me to pay for my shiny new coach, if the randoms are good, then its worth it.
2010-04-25 18:24:08
you have assistents as well spud?
2010-04-25 18:46:18
Jammy! Never had anything like that in the 3 years of having a junior school. Some people get lucky indeed!

"I wake up this morning with a headache and no junior school. Now have sacked my coach, withdrawn from the league"

I have done the same thing, as my Junior School never made any money for my club
